Bright and Bold Color Challenge

The Color Challenge was to use two retiring colors, Pacific Blue and Tango Tangerine along with SunShine Yellow and come up with a layout.

I immediately thought of my fish die cut I had JUST received from Sizzix. So here is the busy and loud submission. I laugh when I look at it.

Then, I decided to use a die cut Daisy to make a flower.

Lastly, I needed a little bit easier on the eye, so I did a card with lots of white.

Turquoise and Red? Color Challenge 223

Ok -- which of us makes cards with turquoise red? Well, today, a bunch of us. The color challenge today were to use two specific colors, a red and a turquoise. The color combination is not one I would have every put together without this challenge. So here are two of mine.

I like the one with the birds. The other one looks better than the picture. (My camera broke, so am back to using an inferior camera). . .

White Card -- no layers

Oh dear -- we are to go Clean and Simple on our Color Challenge-- Am I going to be able to do this?

I did a new technique thanks to Faith (Markie's Mom). I made a stencil using the Sizzix dies, then used sponges as "stamps" and stamped my image. . .

Color Challenge

My wonderful neighbor, Connie, was just looking at my cards. She commented that I must really like this color combination. Actually, Connie, I am just obsessive. If one is good, eight must be better. If I have time and get going on a challenge, then wake up in the am to see what I have done. The challenge this day was to use these three colors together -- Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango and Kiwi. These are all colors that Stampin Up sells. They are being retired in a month. I will miss them. . .lots

So here are all the cards I did for that challenge.

Spring Song -- Color Challenge

Please VOTE : We need a vote. Do you like the one with flowers or without flowers. I need to know. Leave it on the comments or

e-mail me at
jofacets@gmail.com

OK Kathie -- how is this one? I tried to make it as clean and simple as I could and still follow the rules of using all three colors --kiwi, riding hood red, and tangerine tango. For all of you, please vote, do you like this one best (robin) or the second one (hummingbird). Leave it in the comments page. I am TRYING to do less-- because sometimes less is more.

Color Challenge Spring Song

I love my stamp set that is entitled Spring Song. This challenge was to use the retiring IN COLORS, Kiwi, Riding Hood Red, and Tangerine Tango. I had promised my good friend and fellow card maker, Kathie, that I was going to make some simple cards. She LOVES and does beautiful work with simplicity. Obviously, I failed. But the "Scrappin Grannies" will forgive me. After all, I have that "overdone" personality.

SC Spring Song

The Sketch Challenge today gave me an opportunity to get out my new bird stamps -- Hummingbird and sparrow. I worked with the Hummingbird, but will have to cut it out to make it conform to the sketch. But the Sparrow worked well. Note, I reversed the sketch which you can do in the challenge.

I will make several of these.

Oh boy -- Color Challenge

This one was HARD HARD HARD for me. Use Brilliant Blue, Only Orange and Regal Rose in a card. I would NEVER use those colors together, until now. It was Color Challenge 219.

Here is what I did.

Here are the three cards for the Color Challenge. The challenge was to make cards with Kiwi Green, Pumpkin Pie (orange), and Summer Sun (yellow). I tried three different styles. The only one I really like is the scene in the garden.
