IC179 Elmo Windy Kite

The Inspiration Challenge challenged my Punch Art capabilities. . . The challenge was to take one of the Bonjour Mon coussinn's pillows and make a card. Here is the picture of the pillow and the card I made. I had to make the picture in a 12X12 page, take a picture of it -- then put it on a card. That works well.

Pillow Talk IC179

SplitcoastStamper's Inspiration Challenge IC179 -- Here is the Pillow that was the inspiration -- but I had to use clipart to get the Eiffle Tower.

This card deserves a story. A 60 year old lawyer moved to our community. Her maiden name was Lamb. She and her husband never had children, so decided to have “imaginary lambs” – sheep --. The imaginary lambs had to have imaginary friends, so imaginary pigs came to be their friends. They grew up – and like most kids, went out on their own. They are all now in France living wonderful lives. This wonderful and funny lady had to have a GREAT birthday card. So here it is.

I will post visual instructions later.

It's never too late to live happily ever after.

Car with Tree Background

I decided to push myself this morning and take the punched car and make a scene. I used the masking technique 3 different times to get this done. The good thing, I cut out the road, so it did not have to be PERFECT on the first stamp. I used three different stamp sets for this card as well as my own rendition of a car. (The car looks like a car I had years ago - a light blue VW). The first thing my DH said was "Now, that is a masculine card!" What men don't do for cars.

Owl for Graduation

It's graduation time. My class wanted graduation cards, so I designed this one. I CASE'd the owl from many options of Splitcoaststampers, but actually liked one by Nilakias best.

Note: I can add either a graduation hat sticker or use a rubber stamp for the hat. Using the rubber stamp, you can stamp it on any color you want to go with the school colors.

This particular card is for Grinnell, College -- Scarlett and Black. I have others in orange and black for the Grinnell High School Tigers.

I am including the instructions.

I am really in to designing characters by the use of the punches. Here is my rendition of the frog.
He was made with punches from Stampin Up.

Baskets of Flowers

I have been teaching making cards by using punches. This week I decided that I would use the punches to make flowers.

The class can chose from these three cards and use a punch to make it. Instructions for the Pocket Flower Pot) will be posted on this site very soon.

Red and White - love it

Red and White: I am loving to do red and white cards. When we were teens, all three of us girls made red and white gingham skirts for the 4th of July celebration. Everytime I do a card in red and white, I remember our fun times around the 4th of July in my home town. Here are the different cards I did.
